Originally founded in 1946 by Harold V. Richmond the company takes great pride by still being owned, managed and operated by the Richmond family. Today the fleet contains 30 modern, powerful, luxury coaches of varying sizes and specifications to suit customers' individual requirements. Our fleet is available for any private hire from a local single journey, full day hires or long distance coach tours across the UK and Europe lasting in excess of a month. Our modern fleet is maintained by our own specialist technicians in our extensive modern workshops to ensure total safety and reliability.
Location
We are located in a prime site of North Hertfordshire on the border of Cambridgeshire and Essex. We have excellent road links with the motorway network, being 12 miles south of Cambridge and 36 miles north of Central London. We are close to Stansted and Luton airports, and are able to easily access Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airports. We are also easily accessible to the ports of Harwich, Tilbury, Dover and Southampton.
Coaches
We offer a wide range of coaches, seating capacities available are 16, 19, 25, 39, 49, 53, 61, 79, 81 and 83. As standard all coaches are air conditioned, have reclining seats with extended legroom and are fitted with either lap belts or 3 point seat belts. The windows are double glazed and tinted with full draw curtains. As standard all coaches have radio/CD with public address system. Many of our coaches also have independent oil fired central heating systems.
Additionally the following on board features can be requested including toilet/washroom, DVD player with monitors, hot drinks facilities, fridge for cold drinks and tables.

Drivers
Our team of professional drivers are uniformed and have many years of experience dealing with different types of groups from students to Diplomats. We can provide the ideal solution from small group travel to multi coach conference work for up to 1000 delegates. Each of our drivers undergoes regular refresher training in customer care and safety, responsible driving, and changes in legislation. All drivers hold an enhanced CRB check.
Environmental
All our coaches are specified with the lowest emission target available at the time of purchase. We therefore have one of the cleanest coach fleets in the Southeast, with the whole fleet eligible to travel in the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ).
We manage unnecessary noise and fuel pollution by limited our engine’s idling time to a maximum of 5 minutes whilst stationary.
Services
In addition to coach hire we can help with tour planning or assist with those extras that are sometimes needed.
We can supply on request tour escorts and city guides or airport meet and greet staff. We can also arrange hotel accommodation, meals, sea crossings by ferry or tunnel, theatre tickets, and tickets for other attractions.
