Ashcrofts Mini Travel operate a nice clean fleet of 20 Vehicles of different sizes and specifications. From a Minibus transfer to the airport to a 16 seater bus, for a day trip or a wheelchair accessible minibus accommodating multiple chairs. Full-sized executive coaches are also operated. The fleet is well maintained and is inspected regularly. Ashcrofts Undertake this in-house with our full garage facilities. Our company is also authorized with the DVSA to conduct Mot’s to the general public.
Operating under a Wigan Council private hire operator licence for the smaller vehicles. Also a full standard international DVSA operator licence for the larger vehicles in our fleet. As a responsible operator, we are bound by strict regulations of vehicle safety and driver professionalism.
All drivers are DBS checked to an enhanced level and complete regular training with the Driver CPC qualification. This, along with our own driver training and new legislation updates.
We can accommodate most of our client’s needs and have a wide range of services available. Local authority contracts with schools and day centres, corporate clients, local business and of course private hire transport for our loyal general public who return to us time and time again. Operating from dedicated business premises and we do the job as it should be done. We are professional, punctual, safe and legal. No owner-drivers work for us, all staff are employed by us and all vehicles are company vehicles ensuring we always deliver a consistent service to our customers.
In 2018 we opened our second depot on Moss Industrial Estate in Leigh, this is a large self-contained yard and offices that house the majority of our coach and Minibus fleet. In January 2020 we continued our growth and purchased a local Coach holiday business with an excellent reputation for customer service and great Trips. Memory Lane Holidays & Travel is now a trading name of Ashcrofts and we operate our very own holiday brochure and executive tour coaches.
