About Glenn Ryder Coaches
I, Glenn Ryder, have worked in the coach industry since 1985, initially working as a driver/mechanic. After nearly 15 years working for this company I started running my own coaches in 2001. I bought two coaches from this company as they were closing down; a 53 seater Bedford and a 53 seater Volvo. I worked from rented premises where the coaches had to be stored outside.
In 2002 I bought a third coach and moved to a farm where I rented half a barn, so I could keep two of the coaches indoors and leave just one outside. Soon after I made the purchase of a higher spec coach in order to move my business forward.
In 2008 we had our own garage built and in keeping with the small but personal feeling to the business, the coaches were replaced, and not added to. Now we operate just four coaches; all of which are stored indoors in our own garage facility.
As many people know the name Volvo for reliability and safety, all our coaches are Volvo, serviced and maintained by myself, with any additional work being carried out by a Volvo dealer ensuring correct parts are used and fitted as it should be. This ensures safety and reliability. Anything can brake down or have a problem, but I do my utmost to avoid that. Good maintenance is the key!
Being a small family run company we have just a few regular drivers, this helps as customers soon get to know who will be taking them out for the day. We aim to give a professional and friendly service to all our customers.
