Established in 1947, Heyfordian Travel is a family owned and managed business. Its transport roots go back to the 1890’s when a branch of the family were the horse-drawn carriers in the village of Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire from where the name Heyfordian originates. Haulage was the business of the family in the early 20th century with mechanised trucks introduced after the First World War.
The haulage continued after the Second World War when the founder of Heyfordian identified a need for passenger transport. The business prospered because the founder soon acquired a reputation for providing high quality customer care.
The present directors have built on that reputation and continue to offer high quality customer care to a wide range of companies, educational establishments, sports and social clubs and individuals – to anyone, indeed, who has a need to move numbers of people from place to place reliably and in comfort and safety.
We have done this by maintaining a fleet of more than 75 modern coaches manned by experienced professional drivers and with an equally dedicated support staff. Our friendly staff will deal with your enquiry for coach hire and a competitive quotation will be sent to you promptly.
All Heyfordian coaches are serviced and maintained on site at Bicester by the company’s own experienced engineering staff, ensuring that a high level of safety and reliability is maintained.

Safety and Reliability
Heyfordian has their own Oxfordshire Engineering facilities, employing highly skilled maintenance engineers. We aim to provide the highest levels of safety and reliability with comprehensive backup services throughout the UK and Europe. This means when you travel with us, there is a whole team of people behind the scenes making sure you get from A to B in safety and comfort. On the rare occasion something doesn't run perfectly, we have a team there to fix the problem at all times.
Professional Drivers
Our well trained, knowledgeable drivers are there to make sure that every journey is completed in safety and comfort. We have our very own in house training facility with years of experience so we make sure that our drivers are well equipped to carry out their job to a very high standard. All our drivers have regular first aid training and have all completed CPC driver training courses which gives them the ability to carry our customers in the safest way possible. Training is ongoing so our drivers are regularly refreshed on various subjects such as coach maintenance checks and health and safety.
