Pats Coaches Ltd
Back in November 1977 a married couple of the name Patricia and David Davies started a business with the intention of giving something to their children, They purchased a Ford Transit minibus and between the couple they managed to obtain a school contract and began attracting private hire work, so during the day it was Patricia's job to operate the school contract and Davids job to carry out the evening work on the private hires. The months followed and the work grew which led in Pat's Coaches expanding the fleet. The next vehicle in to the fleet came in May the following year. As the years passed the work load grew and their sons stepped in to the business to help maintain and expand the workload.
By 1991, Keith and Mark Davies had joined the business and the operations of the business extended to continental tours. In addition to numerous school contracts there was also a number of routes operated including services around Wrexham. The business was later formed into a limited company in 2002. Patricia Davies has since retired leaving both Keith and Mark Davies Directors of the business. In 2011 Pat's Coaches took the decision of stepping away from the service side of the industry and sold their service buses and transferred to fellow operator. This decision was taken to help the company concentrate on the coach side of the industry. However one service vehicle was retained to operate the Wrexham Townlynx service but this service was then later withdrawn.
Today the company operates a fleet of distinctive liveried vehicles which is now highly recognised around the UK and European roads. Amongst the local private hire coaches, Pat's Coaches operates a Silver Service and a Luxuria coach in the livery of Leger Holidays which spend a considerable time on continental journeys. Other coaches of the fleet are also involved in continental travel which can be seen throughout the website.
A number of school contracts are also performed by Pat's Coaches and in particular involving Penley School which currently is their main supplier. There is also substantial amount of private hire work undertaken which also includes Pat's Coaches operating the Wrexham AFC Team Coach and in the main supplier to all away travel for Wrexham AFC, each year Pat's Coaches and Wrexham AFC come together when we proudly sponsor a match for them.
