Thomas of Rhondda
Thomas Of Rhondda
Thomas Coaches was founded in 1967 by owner Mr Walter Glyn Thomas. Specialising in providing high specification single deck vehicles for use by the travel industry, we operate from the old “National Welsh” bus depot in Porth, South Wales, approximately 18 miles from the Welsh capital, Cardiff.
In 1996, Mr Thomas’s wife Judith and son Ian formed a subsidiary company, Thomas of Rhondda, which has expanded and thrived alongside, and together with, its parent.
We are not a tour operator. Although our vehicles & drivers are regularly contracted by tour operators for use on their pre-plan tours, they are also freely available for hire to the public - and we can help with accommodation, tour guides, ferry bookings, and more. If you are planning a tour to a destination in the UK, or Europe, you can request a quote from us using our contact form.
In addition, we maintain a number of regular local bus routes and school transport services, and our fully-equipped service depot is both a VOSA authorised testing facility and a JAUPT approved training centre, allowing us to provide MOT servicing and CPC training courses.
Proudly serving the travel industry for over 50 years, our goal has always been to provide quality service at reasonable prices - a combination that brings our customers back again and again.
