Truronian is the successor to many well known historic coaching and private hire businesses dating back as far as 1880.

Royal Blue Coach Services was established in 1880, and became part of Western National in 1934.

Western National’s Cornwall operations were nationalised, privatised and transferred and sold over the years, eventually becoming part of First in 1995

Truronian was formed in 1987 and became part of First in 2008, bringing together some of the best known, longest established coach operators in Cornwall.

First’s business in the South West is based in Cornwall, and the Cornish operations are today branded as Cornwall by Kernow (buses) and Truronian (coaches and private hire).

Truronian and Cornwall by Kernow are very much local businesses; locally based, locally managed and locally focussed.
