Welsh's Coaches
Welsh’s Coaches started out in 1967 as a private hire firm providing taxis and mini coaches.
Founders Bob and Marie Welsh were joined by their eldest son John in 1975 and since then the business has gone from strength to strength. Marie died in 1992 and Bob in late 2003. Directors John and his wife Judy now manage the company.
The business is based in the village of Upton, between Pontefract, Wakefield and Doncaster and just a couple of miles from the A1. In 2001 purpose built office accommodation was completed at Upton and in 2003 premises at 4 West Street were acquired and brought up to the Welsh’s standard!
Staff at both the Upton and Doncaster offices can access a sophisticated computerised reservation system to deal promptly and efficiently with enquiries from prospective holidaymakers.
Today, Welsh’s Coaches provide first class coaching holidays with departures and home pick ups in the Pontefract and Doncaster areas.
